Leopard Rewilding Program (LRP)

Currently wildleopard.net is being housed within www.wildtiger.org which is the website of: WildTiger Conservation Research and Development.

The leopard (panthera pardus) is one of the four big cats – the others being the tiger, the lion and the jaguar.  It has the largest range of the big cats as well as being the most adaptable to different habitats.

The leopard is also the most misunderstood and persecuted of the big cats.

Many of you will have arrived at this page because of your interest in Asa, the Leopard of Hope, currently the centre of the Leopard Rewilding Program being piloted in Nepal.  Born wild, Asa was orphaned at very young age and soon became the motivation to set up a rewilding program for leopards who have been removed from their natural habitat often due to human/wildlife conflict situations.
